FINANCIAL Office Furniture

Holmes & Brakel has successfully completed several large-scale, tight timeline projects with BMO. Project highlights include the furniture reconfiguration of 4 existing floors and installation of 2 additional floors of furniture, that total 130,000 sq. ft. The new BMO standards were applied to existing furniture including workstations, filing, seating, and casegoods. The total project was well in excess of 1,000 workstations.

In accordance with the new BMO standard, Holmes & Brakel was able to reutilize the components of more than 650 existing workstations. H&B was responsible for inventory of all existing project, specifications for the reconfiguration and new projects, project management and installation.

CIBC is a long-standing customer of Holmes & Brakel.  Many projects have been completed over the years varying in size, scope and timeline. A recent project included over 1,500 Teknion Leverage workstations and over 2,500 linear feet of Teknion Altos wall product and all other filing, seating, meeting room and boardroom furniture. The aggressive project schedule required each phase of 2 floors to be installed concurrently. LEED CI Gold designed the project. Over 100 trailers of furniture were delivered and offloaded without the use of a dedicated loading dock or elevator. This required seamless integration between shipping and installation of product. H&B was responsible for specification, custom product development, project management, and installation coordination of all furniture products.

Holmes & Brakel continues to have a strong partnership with RBC. One of the many successful projects includes a 29-floor office space construction. The project was a LEED NC Gold project. The 10-month installation schedule called for over 4,500 Teknion District workstations with over 5,000 linear feet of Teknion Altos and Optos wall projects and other furniture to be installed simultaneously while the building was being constructed.

H&B successfully absorbed many changes while never missing a turn over date in the schedule. With one loading dock shared by all trades and over 700 trailers of furniture delivered, the logistics and attention to detail was paramount to ensure a successful installation. H&B was responsible for specification, project management and installation coordination of all furniture products.
