Region of Durham

Holmes & Brakel has a strong, long-term relationship with the Region of Durham. The scope of this particular project comprised of six floors of furniture including 1,200 Teknion Leverage workstations, 200 Suites of Teknion Expansion as well as filing, seating, meeting room and boardroom furniture.

The installation of the furniture was sequentially installed during the phased construction of each floor. The project size was approximately 400,000 sq. ft. and H&B was responsible for specification, project management, and installation coordination of all furniture products.

H&B provides ongoing reconfiguration design and installation services to meet the needs of the departments. We completed approximately 20 complex projects utilizing the existing furniture each year, along with fulfilling new furniture requests.

Toronto Fire Services

Since 2002, H&B have been supplying Toronto Fire Services with their various furniture needs. We have been utilizing the Design Source International lounge and task seating products, along with Anthony Steel lockers to the specific needs of the fire‐fighters at each hall. H&B assesses the needs against the condition of the existing furniture and makes recommendations to Toronto Fire Services.

Town of Ajax

In a unique project, The Town of Ajax required Holmes & Brakel to help move staff workstations from an existing building to a new location without interrupting business. The existing Teknion TOS systems furniture was dismantled on a Friday night and rebuilt at the new site along with newly ordered product to meet the new building design requirements and workspace. The newly assembled furniture was ready for communications cabling Saturday midday and fully functional for occupancy Monday morning. H&B was responsible for specification and installation coordination of all furniture products being provided, which included 25 workstations, 20 office suites, along with boardroom and cafeteria furnishings.

Pinellas County Health Department

Our client renovated a building and relocated their facility to the new space. The new building includes 2 floors of space that required over 90 new TOS workstations and 15 reconfigured stations. H&B was responsible for specifications, project management and installation.
