Holmes & Brakel worked closely with IBM to create an environment in response to the company’s “Workplace on Demand” strategy. The project accommodates approximately 300 people, with “no permanent address” workstations. The open concept environment was designed with areas that could be utilized for individual workspace, teaming or private meetings. As part of the project, Teknion in conjunction with H&B developed many custom products including a new workbench solution that is now offered as a standard Teknion product.

Overall scope of the project included filing, seating, demountable walls, meeting room and boardroom tables. The project was completed over a three-month period, which included construction and installation of the new furniture. H&B was responsible for all specifications, project management and installation.

Holmes & Brakel in partnership with PBK Architects created approximately 40,000 sq. ft. of functional office space for GENIVAR. The project consisted of 200 workstations, 40 offices, meeting rooms, boardrooms, reception, lunchroom, patio and task seating. We completed this project over several phases. Workstations had to be planned around very large, round building columns. Surfaces were cut around the columns as opposed to losing a workstations.

H&B was responsible for product specification, on site measurements, space planning, installation, and after service sales.
